How to 1v1 in CS2

CS2 has no 1v1 button. Here are the two fastest ways to duel a friend — and how to get a private server with automatic score tracking in about 60 seconds.

Step by step

  1. STEP 01

    Pick how you want to play

    Casual with a friend (local workshop map or community server) or a tracked 1v1 duel on a private dedicated server where the score is recorded automatically.

  2. STEP 02

    Option A — Workshop 1v1 map

    Subscribe to a 1v1/aim map in the Steam Workshop, open CS2, go to Play → Workshop Maps, host the map and invite your friend from the Steam friends list.

  3. STEP 03

    Option B — Private server on FragCash

    Link Steam, create a CS2 1v1 challenge and send the link to your friend. When you both click Ready and ban maps, a private 128-tick server starts by itself.

  4. STEP 04

    Connect to the server

    Click Join server, or open the console with ~ and type the connect command shown in the match room. Only the two linked Steam accounts can join.

  5. STEP 05

    Type .ready in chat

    Both players type .ready. A short countdown starts, the match is played and the final score is reported automatically — no screenshots.

Best maps for CS2 1v1

Warm up on aim and AWP maps, then play real duels on official maps: Mirage, Inferno, Dust II, Nuke, Ancient and Anubis. On FragCash you ban maps until one is left, so nobody gets a home-map advantage.
